(IntegrityWeather.com) — An area of low pressure will move northeastward from Kansas to Iowa this afternoon with a warm front forecast to set up over southeast Iowa to north/central Illinois.
Storm development should occur sometime after 4pm this afternoon, potentially as late as 7pm given a strong lid on the atmosphere this afternoon.
The level 3 zone has been adjusted given the placement of the frontal zone where the focus is for large hail, damaging winds and a couple of tornadoes possible.
Any individual storms that can remain surface-based will be capable of producing a strong tornado, primarily over north/central Illinois.
