(IntegrityWeather.com) — An upper-level northern stream trough will slide across the Northern Plains beginning Thursday and exiting by Friday morning.
This will bring snow to far northern areas with a swath of 4 to 8 inches of snow accumulation across northern Minnesota into Wisconsin.
In addition, strong northwest winds will accompany the leading edge of the cold front with damaging gusts of 60-70 mph across the High Plains.
Given the strength of the wind aloft, gusts of 50-60 mph will mix down to the surface across portions of the Midwest Thursday night into Friday morning.
