Discussion: Strong to severe thunderstorms are forecast to break out after 6pm this evening along a warm frontal zone across central Iowa, then moving eastward into Illinois.
An area of cold air aloft will support a small to large hail threat from late evening into overnight period.
All activity will taper off by daybreak Tuesday as the first round of moisture slides east.
