
(IntegrityWeather.com) — The initial impulse of strong storms will continue to shift northeastward across the risk area this morning…with a renewed risk of severe weather anticipated by late afternoon into the evening.
Scattered severe storms should redevelop after 3pm across northwest IA extending northward into central/southern MN with the primary threats for quarter to half-dollar size hail and severe gusts of 60-70 mph.
This activity will shift eastward into Wisconsin later this evening and to the overnight, with the main threat transitioning to primarily damaging wind gusts of 60-80 mph.
Some lower-end tornado risk may also come into focus earlier in the period across northwest Iowa and central Wisconsin, however main risk later today will be damaging winds.
