(IntegrityWeather.com) — A strong upper-level ridge of high pressure will promote an extended period of hot and humid conditions across the region beginning Sunday.
Daily high temperatures are forecast to rise into the low to mid 90s, combined with high dewpoints, will likely result in heat index values reaching warning criteria.
While mainly dry conditions are likely through the middle of next week across the Midwest, trends will be monitored daily toward the end of the forecast period for potential severe weather episodes.
