(IntegrityWeather.com) — A northwest flow will remain intact through the end of the month with additional clipper systems to move across the Midwest this week.
The frontal systems targeted here are around the 29th to the 31st of the month which can bring light snowfall accumulations to the area.
Then a ridge will build in the northwest by the end of the month, pumping above normal temperatures into Iowa and the Midwest during the first full week of February.
This warm-up will be brief as troughing should become quite evident the week of February 9th to support above normal precipitation across the Northern Plains/upper Midwest.
