
(IntegrityWeather.com) — An upper-level low is forecast to deepen later today, with initial severe thunderstorms expected to break out over portions of Nebraska and Kansas.
The main impulse of severe weather should shift southeastward into Kansas overnight tonight, with a focus for heavy rains developing further north into Sunday morning.
A strong belt of southwesterly flow will continue to pivot a healthy swath of heavy rainfall across central/southern Iowa and northern Missouri during the day Sunday, extending to the evening.
Scattered to numerous instances of flash flooding may occur through Sunday night before the parent activity exits to the east to begin the following work week.
