(IntegrityWeather.com) — An area of low pressure is forecast to navigate the Northern Plains on Thursday with a cold front/dry line to extend from Iowa southward into Kansas and Missouri.
Strong mid-level forcing should support convective initiation across western IA into KS capable of large hail, damaging wind gusts and a few isolated tornadoes.
Some upscale growth is anticipated through Thursday evening as the activity shifts eastward. However, the overall severe risk is expected to wane rapidly into Thursday night.
While adjustments remain possible, the corridor of concern highlighted on Sunday, April 19th, remains well-aligned with current forecast.
