
(IntegrityWeather.com) — A potent impulse of showers and thunderstorms will continue to advance northeastward this morning where some limited amount of severe weather remains possible.
Rapid recovery is expected across the warm sector later today with initial discrete development forecast after 2pm capable of very large hail, damaging winds and several tornadoes.
A high-end tornado threat is expected to materialize over parts of Missouri and Illinois with the greatest risk along the south of a sharpening warm front where low-level shear will be maximized.
Upscale growth into one or more bowing segments is forecast, with the primary threat transitioning to damaging winds this evening and tonight as the system tracks eastward.
While an isolated severe threat exists over central/east Iowa during the 2-6pm window, peak severe intensity is anticipated across Missouri and Illinois between 2pm and 11pm.
